Ben Smithies
Ben is a highly experienced coach and facilitator who specialises in working with business leaders to help them achieve their business objectives through fulfilling their own, and their people’s potential.
He works with:
- Individuals – coaching senior executives on leadership and personal effectiveness as well as influencing and managing personal and organisational change;
- Teams – working with groups and teams to help them work together to deliver their business objectives, or working with groups running advanced interpersonal skills programmes;
- Organisations – on a variety of wide ranging projects such as those involving culture change or facilitating large system strategic change.
His recent work has included:
- Designing a global leadership development programme;
- Consulting on and facilitating roll out of a Global performance management system for an international airline company;
- Supporting and facilitating change within the UK HR community of PwC;
- Leading and facilitating senior level Client Relationship development events;
- Consulting to and facilitating senior cross-border teams in achieving their business objectives;
- Designing and facilitating a culture change project within PwC UK Tax practice;
- Coaching and consulting to business leaders within the UK and internationally.
At present Ben is particularly interested in large group interventions aimed at bringing about systemic change, using an appreciative inquiry model in his approach to consultation with groups and organisations, working cross–culturally and using an action-learning approach to personal development work.
Ben holds a BSc in Psychology and completed his MSc in Social Policy at the London School of Economics. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Psychotherapy.
